Since the construction of HZMB started, scientists and engineers had overcome countless difficulties, obtained over 400 patents and broke seven world records.

HZMB is not only the world’s longest cross-sea bridge, but also among the most technically complex  projects which meet the most demanding requirements and highest standards of construction in China’s transportation industry. Built to withstand a super typhoon and a magnitude eight earthquake, and designed for a service life of up to 120 years, it is lauded by The Guardian as one of the “Seven Wonders of the Modern World”.

In this context, ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions was privileged to participate in the HZMB Immigration Inspection Port Building project, supplying mortise locks, door closers and other small hardware products. Unlike general projects on the mainland, the building had special standards in fire prevention, requiring compliance with fire safety regulations in both the mainland and Macau. In addition, ASSA ABLOY faced the challenge of a very tight schedule.

ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions was recognized by the management for its top-notch technology and outstanding product quality. Meanwhile, its full support and cooperation for the processing and supply ensured the completion of project on schedule. The management also acknowledged ASSA ABLOY’s long-standing brand awareness and reputation in the marketplace. Relevant constructors had already worked with ASSA ABLOY for the Shanghai Disney project.
